For Facilities & Coordinators

Partner With Us.
Serve Your Veterans.

Valor Alto VR/AR works hand-in-hand with the facilities that care for our veterans every day. We don't replace what you do — we enhance it, bringing a dimension of recreation and emotional wellbeing that most facilities simply can't provide on their own.

Becoming a partner facility is straightforward, low-burden, and — for most VA and partner facilities — completely free.

Who We Partner With

Three Types of Partner Facilities

VA Medical Centers

We work directly with VA medical centers to bring VR recreation to long-term care wards, spinal cord injury units, and inpatient rehabilitation floors. Our team coordinates with recreation therapists and nursing staff to integrate seamlessly into existing care plans.

What's Included

  • No cost to the facility or veteran
  • Full equipment setup and breakdown by our team
  • Staff training and orientation included
  • Outcome documentation for care records
  • Flexible scheduling around existing routines

Community Living Centers

VA Community Living Centers provide long-term care to veterans who can no longer live independently. We partner with CLCs to offer regular VR sessions as part of their recreational therapy programming — giving residents meaningful, stimulating experiences week after week.

What's Included

  • Recurring weekly or bi-weekly visit schedules
  • Personalized experience selection per resident
  • Family involvement and observation welcome
  • Coordination with recreational therapy staff
  • Progress and engagement reporting available

Private Care Homes & Nursing Facilities

Not all veterans are in VA facilities. We partner with private nursing homes, assisted living communities, and rehabilitation centers that serve veteran populations — bringing the same quality of experience regardless of where a veteran receives their care.

What's Included

  • Flexible partnership and pricing models
  • Veteran identification and intake support
  • Integration with existing activity programs
  • Staff and family education sessions
  • Referral network access for veteran resources

How It Works

The Path to Partnership

01

01

Express Interest

Submit a partnership inquiry through our contact form. Tell us about your facility, the veterans you serve, and what you're hoping to offer them.

02

Discovery Call

We schedule a 30-minute call with your recreation therapy or social work team to understand your facility's needs, protocols, and veteran population.

03

03

Partnership Agreement

We formalize the partnership with a simple agreement covering visit schedules, liability, documentation, and any cost arrangements.

04

04

Staff Orientation

Our team visits your facility for a staff orientation — introducing the equipment, the process, and how to support veterans during sessions.

05

05

First Session

We deliver the first VR session together, with our team fully on-site to guide veterans and answer any questions from staff or families.

06

06

Ongoing Partnership

We establish a regular visit cadence, track outcomes, and continuously refine the program based on veteran feedback and staff input.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a cost to partner facilities?

For VA facilities and partner care homes, our programs are provided at no cost through grant funding and facility partnerships. Private facilities have flexible pricing options — contact us to discuss.

What does our staff need to do?

Very little. Our team handles all equipment setup, session facilitation, and breakdown. We ask that a staff member be present during sessions for safety and continuity of care.

How do we handle veterans with cognitive or physical limitations?

We adapt every session to the individual. Our team is trained to work with veterans experiencing dementia, PTSD, limited mobility, and sensory sensitivities. We always coordinate with care staff in advance.

How often do you visit?

Visit frequency is determined together based on your facility's needs and our scheduling capacity. Most partners receive weekly or bi-weekly visits. We work around your existing programming.

What equipment do you bring?

We bring professional-grade standalone VR headsets, sanitized between every use, along with all mounting, padding, and accessibility accessories needed for bedrest or wheelchair-bound veterans.

Can families be present during sessions?

Absolutely — and we encourage it. Family members often find the sessions deeply meaningful. We can also coordinate special sessions timed around family visits.
